One of the best cinemas in England, The Prince Charles, is unfortunately being threatened with eviction by their scumbag landlords who want to redevelop the site. If you love independent cinemas, time to mobilise!!! princecharlescinema.com/savethepcc/

After the news from America this week, i'm thinking that my recovery film will be '12 Angry Men'.

Anyone else got any film suggestions, for restoring a bit of optimism?

I saw 'Point Blank' (1967) for the first time at the Film Noir Fest this weekend, which meant it was the first time I experienced this brilliant example of 'less is more' sound design.

Lee Marvin sets out to exact some revenge and his feet do the talking...

A really interesting discussion with the Director of what might be my favourite film sound design of the year…

Picked up an award for Best Sound at the the HB Film Festival. Thanks to Sound Editors Owen Peters AMPS MPSE, @owenshirley.bsky.social AMPS & Director Paul Holbrook.

Fun fact: I’m known for mixing documentaries (“non-scripted”) but it seems I’ve actually won more awards for scripted/drama work!

Really enjoyed seeing ‘The Apprentice’ in the cinema - I wasn’t sure what to expect and I’m still processing the narrative, but it has great performances and production design (not to mention the disco soundtrack).

I’d recommend seeing it when you can

It was a real treat to see Stephen Frears introduce and discuss his under-appreciated film 'The Hit' at The Watershed in Bristol. A great concept and a brilliant cast makes for a fun 'B-movie' thriller (more his words than mine).

I'd reccomend it - even if Mr Frears would rather watch Arsenal
