ChatGPT 4o multimodal image processing is fantastically accurate. I took photos around Philadelphia and made them into Ghibli cartoons.
It’s easy to say “buy the dip” but not everyone has that opportunity.

I am bummed by the people who don’t see the silver lining of what new technologies like AI & blockchain can do.

There’s no going back.

Why is sentiment around Bitcoin so negative on Bluesky?

Don’t let MAGA grifters distort the signal—they’re trying to hijack what they never built.

Bitcoin isn’t theirs. It never was.
BTC is about freedom, sovereignty, and resistance. That’s our cause.

I simultaneously need this and also think it will ruin me
“Every morning, Dan Siroker wakes to a flurry of judgment. Not from his spouse. Not from his mother, but from a coin-sized AI listening device on his collar that records every utterance, argument and backhanded compliment.” 🥴
This disc records everything you say — to make you a better person

AI is a cultural technology that intersects with discourses of power.

In other words, it’s political.

People and companies are already using AI to gain and maintain power over others.

This is a great thread!
So, the DOGE kids intend to rewrite the social-security administration's COBOL code-base!

and they want to do it ...

... in *a few months*

I did a huge dive into COBOL a few years ago (www.wealthsimple.com/en-ca/magazi...) ...

... so let me explain why DOGE is *way* over its skis here

Organizational life is about to get much weirder. This paper creates an early form of meeting delegates, where you send an AI to a meeting on your behalf, and it uses your voice and knowledge to advance your goals

A lot of old organizational methods need to be rethought for AI or they will collapse

I have to admit that I've been surprised at the level of hate at AI LLMs.

There is finally a tool that allows those without access to an advanced education to self learn, anywhere , anytime. To get answers to questions, (even if sometimes wrong) , that they would otherwise never have access to
Nag. Sorry. I can't abide the pocket lining any more. You've been a better billionaire than most, but at the end if the day, it's all just a meal ticket for you. Gross.

Honestly a great framework - the more accurate it needs to be, the less likely AI is the tool for the task (for now)
"List of all the US Senators" - they'll likely mess that up

"Suggest some great feminist pop songs from the 1990s and 2000s that were popular in the UK and the USA" - much more likely to return something useful (partly because it's not a question you can get wrong through omission)

Second week at the new job. Mentioned an interview that I can’t stop thinking about to a teammate – turns out he interviewed the same guy a couple years ago.

#web3 is fascinating, I am absolutely not an expert, and I’m so lucky to be in a room of people who are. #StayHumble

ByteDance appears to be skirting US restrictions to buy Nvidia chips. They plan to buy 7 billion dollars of chips in 2025.

I predict 20% of Nvidia's revenue will come from China next year. Most recently it was at 17%.

U.S. export restrictions appear to have failed. Multiple workarounds.

iPhones from Gen 15 & 16 have an awesome feature

But it’s not Apple Intelligence

It’s the action button

Set it to launch ChatGPT Advanced Voice Mode (now with live video too!)

This is 10x more useful than anything “Apple Intelligence”
