I am so happy that my latest published creative nonfiction essay, “Fire Story,” appears in Issue 42 of Post Road Magazine, out of Boston College.

It’s not every day my words are print adjacent to new work by Pulitzer Prize for Poetry finalist Dorianne Laux.

In 1931 Dorothy Thompson interviewed Hitler, belittled him, & was subsequently kicked out of Germany when he became Chancellor

Ken's thread and an offhand comment from @bcdreyer.social inspired me to track down the book that came out of that interview, _"I Saw Hitler"!_

2) Republicans use polls to shape strategy, not to shape their positions.

Public opinion is malleable. Most people don't have firm opinions. Republicans shape the river. Democrats chase the currents--and it hasn't worked.

We will hear about little else soon.

Let's make sure we always talk about how the Trumpists are aggressively sabotaging the cheapest, easiest, and fastest-to-build sources of electricity today: wind & solar
More people should be talking about this.

I need you to read this thread to understand why so many historians are revolted by this regime's crimes against the past
Only an administration intent on committing war crimes in the present and future would stoop to calling Wounded Knee a "battle" rather than what it truly was: a massacre of over 250 Lakotas, mainly women, children, and the elderly. 1/
