been pretty impressed with taylor fritz as a player and person in 2024 in a way that would have surprised me a few years ago. imo this is a fair observation/criticism of the dynamic that made tennis twitter so nasty (and pop culture discourse on the web more generally). we need better online spaces

For me, the thing that knocked the wind out of me with this election is that I dared to believe America would get it right THIS time, that America was ready for a Woman President.

One thing I find interesting about the echo chamber complaint is that an echo chamber just won a presidential election.

The "bluesky is an echo chamber" think pieces that keep popping up really tickle me because they show how certain people genuinely believe social media should be for debating and arguing and not talking about the things that make you happy and sharing art with the world.
