I don’t wear a tinfoil hat most days, but I’d bet this was the plan all along. First time we heard of a screens on a fridges my hubs said ‘nobody’s going to use that (as in the calendar apps etc). I replied ’they don’t care, they’re going to push commercials to it’. Just surprised it took this long.

Conversely, the kids can tell her what they really like (and her kids aren’t getting junk food). There’s an added layer of care when a kid sees you’ve refilled their favorite breakfast bars or fruit cups.

I have a friend who is an elementary teacher in a particularly poor district in Virginia. For years she‘d had a pantry of finger foods & snacks, it’s been hugely positive for the kids. We friends had her set up an Amazon wish list, now we all point-click-ship to fill her pantry and grumbly tummies.

Oh man, I loved this show so, so much, though like many others it lost its magic toward the end. I’ve re-watched the whole thing and some individual eps so many times. Our family lexicon is littered with XF references. Such happy memories. OMG I can’t believe how ancient I am. 😆

I hadn’t either until a few years ago. I thought they were all 2 or more people just sitting around bantering (def not for me) then I found audio documentary format & WOW. There so much fascinating information out there! I don’t have the time to read as I used to, this fills that gap well for me.

Our 30YO daughter has lived 1K miles away from us for a decade. We moved to southern Ohio 2 years ago, our 3rd move in 5 years. Last year voter reg info addressed to her at our current home was delivered. She had only stepped foot in Ohio twice, to visit us. At least not a total stranger, but 🤷🏼♀️
