I once did this with the original Tomb Raider on PS1, i had saved the game on a rope bridge unbeknownst to me the bridge immediately gives way. I had a save where if a loaded it i would die less than a second later. Gutted.

Another Millennium Maze in St Albans at Highfield Park
This maze was different though as it was planted with wildflowers that didnt take to the soil and all died, and were later dug up and replaced by hedging
