How many bots do you think are among the followers of this account?

Just on this first page, we'd say it's 13/17 or 76%.

Obviously there is no way to prove this. But we do have a way to help you prove that you are definitely a human.

On the Internet, nobody knows you're a dog.

You don’t have to look far these days to see bots on Bluesky, and these ones are obvious. What about the ones which aren’t?

The best way through this is to verify your humanity and join our community of humans.

You should see this screen and if you click the blue Start link your camera should open.

Then you just point the camera at that page of your passport. It should pick it up on its own if you align it right.

It's supposed to scan this page (see below)

What kind of ID are you scanning? Not all IDs are supported, but all passports should be. Here is the breakdown of what is supported on Iris ID.

Sure, if you like. You can also move the verification status to your other account.

It's pretty easy on onlyhumanhub.com/profile

@mackuba.eu has created a wonderful tool that lets you see who has verified who, so if you ever want a list of the accounts we've verified you can access that here: blue.mackuba.eu/directory/ve...

We have just created verification records for each of our verified users.

You won't get a blue check yet, but all the more reason to help us convince @bsky.app to adopt us as a trusted verifier so that you do!

We explain the info stored on our /verify page (attached as an image below).

The reason a passport is needed is because there is no other way to reliably verify two things:

* that someone is a real person
* that this person unique

If you have ideas of other ways to verify we'd love to hear them!
