Gough's famous moment as seen on TV in 1975, 1995 and restored from the original film in 2015. You can read about the restoration at www.nfsa.gov.au/latest/dismi... if you're into that sort of thing, I certainly am.

The image is coloured far more naturally, but is still a bit grainy. The same frame from a 2015 restoration of the original film. The colouring is warm and natural, the grain is gone.

@flemishdog.bsky.social speaking of aspect ratios, i was looking at a superjesus music video from 2003 on the bonus DVD that came with the CD (how 2000s), and it was 2.33:1 letterboxed into a 16:9 frame, then horizontally squashed to 4:3.

I've been playing this since hearing Mike Willesee's name on The Backside Of Television a bit ago and it still amazes me that this was (re)released on Epic Records in 1981. How on earth did that happen?
