October 2020, I did my first ever long-distance trail after being cooped up in lockdown. It rained solidly for the first two days, I didn't care, I had the entire Great Glen Way almost entirely to myself. This was my camp spot on the shore of Loch Lochy.

Dug out the old dock that I knew I had *somewhere* and added my old 120GB iPod to my audio setup. Now I can easily get all my digital-only music alongside my physical media.

The Black Beacon, Orford Ness, Suffolk; an early radio navigation system introduced in July 1929. It allowed the angle to the station to be measured from any aircraft or ship with a conventional radio receiver, and was accurate to about a degree.

For last week's Suffolk coastal trek I used trail-running shoes for the first time, instead of boots or trail/approach shoes. They're very light and breathable. I found that my feet didn't fatigue as quickly and stayed comfortably cool and sweat-free. Good when conditions allow, I'd say.
