Developing Morningstar, a LEGO mecha & spaceship tabletop wargame. I also do other tabletop stuff and sometimes art.
Some of the best things are both.

Agreed, that looks like a very nice size alongside the others. Great work! I hope we see more cloth trow in the future.

While I like the separate back wheel I think the full track looks better with this turret. Maybe you could make a lighter turret for the half-track?

Nope, there hasn't been enough interest for me to set up anything like that, and I'd generally prefer to just make new stuff (or pursue other hobbies) rather than to spend more time and effort promoting it. Maybe someday, though.

Thanks! I'm currently developing and playtesting Morningstar, a wargame using builds closest to the topmost mecha in this image (and separate mass-battle and fleet-scale spinoffs). But I'd like to make other games with smaller builds like these, too. Maybe that'll be next year's goal.

No site yet, I'm afraid, and hadn't thought of tagging them 😓. You can look back through my posts to see builds and playtests, but unfortunately they're very scattered. Maybe someday I can get hosting for a more organized site, but I'll be playtesting again soon right here. Glad you're interested!

Was just talking about this with my friend last night. I prefer fairly sedate poses (but naturalistic, not stiff) because that's how the character would look most of the time: relaxed or ready. Whereas overly-dynamic poses feel like they were frozen mid-action and are now awkwardly skating around.

Well that's upsetting. That's my local club, and a coach I've admired for over a decade. By all accounts very good at her job, so I'm shocked she'd stoop to this. Let's hope this isn't a pattern, for her or for others.

Google Pixel... 7 Pro (I had to look that up, smart phones are not my forte). We don't see them often, but we've been taking more walks lately to see the salmon migration. Seeing one of these is a special treat.

Nice! I've gotten to see a couple of great blue herons lately, but I've yet to see a cormorant. Love the wildlife around here.

Thank you so much! I'm glad I put some extra time into this one. I don't make scenes often enough, but I learned a few things here and hopefully I'll do more like this again sometime.

Yep! A pilot or crew commander with a machine gun. I like adding a sense of scale like this, but it doesn't really suit most of my designs.

Someone on Mastodon said they look like they should be on a beach so I obliged.
