Hello #portfolioday I design digital #LEGO builds including original mecha and spaceships for Morningstar, a tabletop game setting, as well as pop culture characters and more. I try to make small, affordable stuff you can build yourself. Most of my older work is here www.flickr.com/photos/19487...

Today we saw two herons in a tall tree. 😍

I can't quite recall if I was reading PA by the time of this comic, or if I started a year or two later (around the same time as Angst Technology and Mac Hall). But I do remember enjoying that game.

Tried out Silver Bayonet yesterday. I customized the Ruined Chapel scenario for my wife to play through using heroes and monsters from Darkest Dungeon. A hard-fought battle against cultists, skeletons, and an Esquire of the Crimson Court. Hope to play again with more monsters! #tabletop #wargaming

I went to an exhibition recently on food in French art. Learned a lot about the symbolism of various foods for France's colonialism and revolutions, and about the Franco-Prussian War and its impact on the French Empire-to-Republic and German Unification. Developed a considerable interest in it all.

Easky caused some early casualties, the Pygaed routing half of the Creevish cavalry. But they struck back with a daring charge, destroying the tractor with grenades. The infantry then kept the remaining Easkovites fixed in place while the cavalry swept through their lines. I had so much fun! (2/2)

Played another solo game of This Quar's War today. I'm using half-strength units, just giving them extra hit points, and only two sections per side, alternating in activation. So it's not a full battle yet by any stretch, just a way to learn the rules and use my new stuff. (1/2) #tabletop #wargaming

They're so lovable. And it's nice to have a wargame that can be realistic and serious without involving historical atrocities with lingering sociopolitical effects, yet isn't so bleak that it's above depicting a bunch of goofballs fighting over moth-based cupcakes.

Finished painting my next batch of 15 mm Quar miniatures, minus ground cover on their bases. I had a lovely time working on these, especially the vehicle and the cavalry. I now have a decent number of models for some gaming, but there's still tons to do for a full-size battle. #tabletop #wargaming

My second order of 15 mm Quar arrived yesterday. Absolutely fantastic models, from the diminutive pykpyks (squirrels) to the massive Ghrykyn and Ikyth tractors (APC & tank, respectively). This should bring both armies to a pretty comfortable level—lots of hobby work ahead. #tabletop #wargaming
