When I was playing in Dollard about 45 yrs ago we had predominantly right handed shots, so I've always played on the opposite side and still do in my beer league. Now it seems everyone is left handed, my son's team u10, I think there's 4 righties.

Calgary had more points than the habs last year and they're looking for a 2C, this whole Kadri trade is utter nonsense from a flames point of view, plus they traded a 1st and fan favorite in Monahan to sign him...

I don't know if he doesnt get that, MSL was a small skilled guy who has always had bigger guys police the ice and he's smart enough to understand the toughness/intimidation factor but Xhekaj can't keep making the same mistakes, remember MSL's line, is it a 1 off or a pattern, there were patterns.

Sure he didn't start in the playoffs because struble was on a heater going into them, we choose to disagree but I maintain the coach doesn't hate him, otherwise he hates struble as well...

Coaches know the players that can take it and those that can't, there were a bunch of players that didn't have a long leash, that is usually reserved for high draft choices, late rd picks or walk ons don't get the same leash. I'm sure if you go thru your list, you'll see where they're drafted...

I don't think MSL hates Xhekaj, he's a kid who went straight from juniors to the nhl without being drafted, he makes mistakes & takes bad penalties, something he's weening out of his game but the coach knows his value to the team, if he stays consistent this year, I don't think he'll be taken out.

Name an arbitration eligible player that's taken a 2 way contract? They all sign 1 way deals. Xhekaj proved his value in the playoffs, Struble did not, he'll be the 7th D to start the year.
