It should be pointed out to every person attempting this "point" that this statement itself is them saying that they think sexual assault against children is okay. Their whole argument is "it's okay for my guy because it's okay for your guy."

Yes, I understand both of these are ME problems and how my brain processed the show, not problems with the show itself per se. It def gets more hate than it should.

2nd, I think the opening was a huge misstep. The song was fine, I still listen to it occasionally, but it never felt like Trek. It pulled me out of the mood the cold open set and my brain wouldn't resettle for the first whole act. And iirc at first they played the ENTIRE 3MIN SONG every episode.

Yep. This is the air that's already out. He's not scrabbling to prevent this from leaking, it's too late for that. He's trying to badger Boobert into submission over much worse.

Personally I've been a fan of a straight up ban on politic families. If you are or have been an elected official no one else in your immediate family can hold another elected seat.

Not even just soaps. Even a mediocre scifi writer could do it with minimal effort.
Hell, even a psych-thriller writer. Do a slanted reboot where you run with the legacy 007 idea. Make it the villain's movie where a hallucinated 007 is after him, but the new 007 has already infiltrated his org.

It's because somehow studio execs suddenly blanked on the concept of a "reboot". I wish that were a joke, but that's just literally it. They can't figure out what to do with the story after No Time to Die because they wrote themselves into a corner.

The best non-writing advice i give screenwriters (that no one takes seriously) is still "take up karaoke as a hobby."
Giving yourself permission to be stupid in front of people on a weekly basis does wonders for working through performance anxiety which makes pitching more natural.
