Origin Story

1.76 acres is the playing area of the pitch at the Emirates.

115 yards x 74 yards = 76,590 square feet

76,590 square feet/43560 square feet per acre = 1.76 acres.
Wow only $200 wow wow that’s amazing work to really send a message MLB and those oh so responsible gambling company leeches.

It’s patently absurd that you can bet on a single pitch in the first place.

The concept of “American excellence” is heavily undercut by the fact that, holy shit, we are so very much not excellent.

ESPN has a new shill doing the VAR review and a quick scan of his last three columns shows that, surprise, in his opinion the VAR decisions have been the right ones EVERY FUCKING TIME!

These guys are so good!!!

At this point I’d vote for Connor Roy over Schumer.

Channel the anger, remember this day, support better candidates, and then go out and vote and end a whole bunch of people’s sorry-ass political careers.

That’s the only way.

I can’t wait to vote for whoever the fuck it is that primaries Schumer.

Someone on the Browns’ career with the Browns just ended.

The Senate D moderates caving for nothing in a week where the left’s resistance manifests strength and on a day that the White House (with the SNAP take-back) does their best Vaderesque “we are pure evil” move is too on point.

Such fucking weaklings.

Or, worse, complicit collaborators.

I know many are pleased with this result but I fucking hate the criminal enterprise that is City.

They need to be gotten rid of.

I cannot quite express just how much I would like the key game today to be an attritional bar brawl ending in a draw.
November 9, 2025 at 1:48 PM
Let me guess (since I am not hunting down stories):

The UK media is treating our exhausted (and offensively decimated) squad drawing late at a tough away ground (for 14 unbeaten in a row) as just as indicative of title struggles as another top team losing 5 straight.

How close am I to being right?

Move today to the first in our recent sequence and while the aggregate results are the same it’s all smiles.

We were four minutes from perfection for this stretch and just couldn’t finish it out.

The last event is the most disappointing so that’s what we each feel acutely.

But: it’s all good.
November 8, 2025 at 8:31 PM
That’s seven games in 22 days. 6 wins and one disappointing draw (that was nearly a win).

I don’t get the lack of fresh legs for the last 10 today but it’s inarguably a fantastic stretch and, with health from the guys who have been out, we will start the belly of the season with a killer squad.
November 8, 2025 at 7:53 PM
With a lead going into stoppage time and four subs and the players beyond exhausted there are some questions to be answered.

We need the break and we need players to heal and we need what is our actually designed team to be available.

And we need those dickheads to draw tomorrow.

That’s just bad by us.

Tuned in in time to see Eze kick it right at the keeper and a Zubi crossbar. Goddamit.

Reads like a fun watch here.

Can’t watch the match today. Will catch replay later. Hoping it goes well.

Isn’t there a similar saying about grandmothers or aunts having wheels being bicycles, or something?
Thomas Frank: "On any other day, we win it."

This game is a deep manifestation of “shit football makes for entertainment”.

Most of the pundits prefer shit football, basically.

Bwwwwwaahahahahahaaha

Thomas Frank has the permanent look of someone who showed up to the airport rental car place at 2am after a delayed flight and nobody is there to get him his car.
