What I mean by "every segment of the NER" is that I've taken the Northeast Regional to all of its main termini, including Boston, Springfield*, Roanoke, Newport News, and Norfolk.

*(Technically, I took the Hartford Line between New Haven and Springfield, but it stops at the same stations.)

Today, I took the Northeast Regional down to Newport News Transportation Center, VA and spent about couple hours exploring the city. With this, I have successfully rode all segments of the NER. This was a fun day.
An Amtrak Northeast Regional train terminating at Newport News Transportation Center, VA. This station was recently rebuilt and moved further north in 2024. In an incredibly clever twist, the likely reason why Nintendo released the trailer for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie today is that it is the 18th anniversary of Super Mario Galaxy's release on the Wii in North America (Nov. 12, 2007).

It took roughly a year, but the Mega Man X DiVE Official Complete Works is finally in my hands, along with the special RiCO card! The artwork of this game is one of my favorite parts about it, so it's so cool to have it as a coffee table book to flip through.

Apparently, the United States has *exactly* 1,000 metro stations as of today? I'd be curious to know if this is true, but if so, that's a fun round number.

A tip for the third Green Star in Super Mario Galaxy 2's Flipsville Galaxy, use the homing ground pound (Y + ZL), it homes in on the Star just like it does for enemies and NPCs!

I’ve been to Chicago a few times (and even got to all 146 L Stations in 2024!)

When I go to cities, I analyze them through many of the same lenses you do. This video, using the L as the main framework, as I did last year, really struck a chord with me. You’re right that the L really makes Chicago.
