I didn’t realize you’re in the Netherlands, nice that you have a decent hat shop nearby. The Coober Pedy model is a real classic one that has a nice neutral go with anything dress up / dress down style, easy to find used on eBay as well. I can recommend the Fedora Lounge forum for tons of hat info.

You won’t regret it! They’ll measure your head size, Akubra come a bit big and the headband shrinks to the indicated size with the heat and moisture if wear, then fit like a custom made hat.

There are more neutral looking ones that are not so Western or snap brim Fedora styled that work great with almost anything, check out the Akubra line, then you can buy used to start once you’ve found a style you like. 100 bucks or less will get you a top mothball weather hat you can always resell.

Me too, but since discovering hats I can’t stand hoods anymore, a good hat is like a mini umbrella, very cozy, blocks wind and keeps rain off the face and neck. Perfect for walking and hiking as long as it’s not very hot, even then I prefer a straw hat to a synthetic one or to baseball caps.

Yes, absolutely! Most are made of fur, only the cheapest brimmed hats aren’t, they’re far more resistant rain and shrinkage when wet. It’s an incredibly impressive material, I own a few vintage hats over 75 years old where the leather headband needed replacing but the felt cleans up to looking new.

Indeed, I used to have a similar vintage one in a Cashmere wool blend. The hat would be a felted fur one and not wool, my guess a rabbit / hare blend Borsalino, or possibly a rabbit / beaver blend.

And Christopher Wray squashed ALL 400 plus Kavanaugh tip line calls. Despicable.

Let IT ALL rip.

If I was literally born yesterday this would make me laugh, contemptuously.

Why do they insist of demoing shit before it’s remotely ready for the public? Fake it till you make an ass if yourselves.

The second I saw those two shadowing it like a 100 year old dictator I knew we were in for a laugh.
