Trapped in SFINAE hell screaming at angry numbers and spicy shapes.
Isn't it more or less consensus now that the release was intentionally sabotaged by Disney to justify the shuttering of the Deep Canvas team and the last of the 2D animation and 2D-3D hybrid animation staff?

TBH this sounds like you'd probably prefer kdb+ (now I guess called kdb-x).

q looks pretty esoteric but it's conceptually like SQL with a much more powerful but manual system for querying and transforming data.

Oh yeah that's a way better example of the issue with blocklists. I've got some stuff in the pipeline (mainly limited by spoons rn) that will hopefully massively improve this and bluesky PBLLC has their own "moderation v2" dev push going on as well right now.

Okay but and I really don't mean to sound demeaning:

So what?

Like just because you are on a blocklist doesn't mean anything other than a group of people don't want to interact with you. If they are willingly using a blocklist like this they clearly aren't worth engaging with anyways.

Well technically those are different since vegetable oil is rarely just rapeseed oil. It is normally an aggregate of a number of different oils and actually more often than not is mostly soybean oil.
November 26, 2025 at 11:57 PM
Another fun one is that canola oil is just Can-ada ola (oil). Or Canada Oil Low (euric) Acid depending on who you ask. Its just a variety of Rapeseed used for oil production in Canada which is why its just called rapeseed oil outside North America.

Yeah this has been a thing I've been wanting to make for a long time. An app that you can program in recipes, take a list of things you want to eat in a week + how much, and generate

- a list of groceries
- a timeline of each step batched together into cooking sessions throughout the week.

With "for you" in particular this corresponds directly to likes and feeds a nasty cycle.

There's also a social component of people not liking things even if they don't directly engage but I think its mostly a technical limitation with custom bluesky feeds rn that will need some work to overcome.
November 26, 2025 at 3:37 AM
I suspect part of the issue is the shift towards "for you" and other alternate feeds over discover and following since most other feeds don't really take your follow graph into concern.

That unfortunately means the less people interact with you the less they see you.

So now to wait and see if this image gets taken down?

NGL that's wild. Especially given the reborn Commodore is making an extraordinarily similar product.

Answer to my question: you actually don't need to do anything. You can just look them up on IPFS right away. Neat. So you can actually just host all your blobs on IPFS.

There's also just a certain component of "good decisions but for the wrong genre".

I can't for the life of me find it but there was a post a while back about a TTRPG game where the DM didn't tell the players they were in a horror setting and the players made all the tropey mistakes.

Yeah this is a pretty accurate statement. The US as a whole is still pretty damn racist. Its just a different kind of racism in the north vs in the south.

Ex: purse clutching and implicitly associating minorities with crime vs overt but often "polite" or "casual" racism.
