I really like seeing Midnight Mass in the mix here. X-Files and Twin Peaks always seemed to me to mark the turning point toward prestige television. I'm always grabbed by the cinematic quality of early X-Files, the effects are of their time of course but it always aspired to exceed the format.

Hmm, I remember a lot trips into Somnolent Forest and such to pay for some of those toys… also for all the bread n milk we needed. I feel like economic life would be easier with Lumina to master new abilities, which is my Musashi takeaway! Hope you’re good, hearts to the family

Wish I could toss you my vote but I'm not even in the right state! All the same, wanted you to know that your efforts have been seen and admired even states away and regardless of the immediate outcome, there's a better America for us ahead because of good people like you. Thank you and good luck.

But Bughie, what phrase better encapsulates the modern American spirit of the season than "Now I have a machine gun ho-ho-ho!" Plus Alan Rickman is a Christmas miracle unto himself! As demonstrated by Prince of Thieves, which might be a Christmas movie too... hmm...

Feels like a comorbidity of a nation in steep decline. I’m going to see the State Ballet of Georgia perform Swan Lake in Dublin in a few days, and I am hoping it will beautiful. Come with me, Bughie.

Guarded optimism here, Bughie. N. Michigan is pretty red but enthusiasm for Trump is way down, the obnoxious campaign displays of previous elections are few and far between, no dipshits riding around in their pickups with their trump flags on the back whipping in the wind etc. Still too tight though

We should all support 45 in this rough time! 45, forever stained by association with a festering hemorrhoid America might never rid itself of. Think of the good times, 45, when people knew you only for your saucily-named abstract algebra concept of simple groups or as the dialing code for Denmark...
