I couldn’t give less of a shit about plants. Happily, farmers are a thing and I can pay them in return for the things they grow so that I don’t have to rage garden while cosplaying a scrappy dust bowl pioneer.

People are preparing to lose healthcare. Whining about missing all or part of a beach vacation due to the vote, regardless of how he votes, shows an appalling lack of empathy and/or judgement.

We have hardwood floors so my cat uses the bedspread. So we bought thick waffle-knit blankets to cover the the bedspread. We refer to these as the cat’s toilet paper and I want to die a bit. But he’s fine — he just doesn’t have great butt hygiene skills (per vet). Changing food helped a bit. Cats. 😫

I almost didn’t go to my local because I didn’t know what I’d do if the crowd was small, but it was more than double the Hands Off crowd. And it was hot, humid and threatening to storm. The mental health boost was substantial.

My favorite thing about going to rallies is the cringe — a bunch of random ass people gathered to have a good time and be weirdly, awkwardly earnest together is so lovely.

Perhaps they will stop when Congress does literally anything at all to stop them? I don’t know for sure, but it seems to be worth a shot, and also your literal job. Try doing it.

It’s not a massive, earth-shattering change, and it could just be a good day, but I genuinely don’t recall the last time I trusted a decision I’d made, or answer I’d given, without quadruple guessing it. Like I feel a suggestion of capability. A gentle whiff of focus.

Can you explain what disallowing them looks like, in practice? Like, do you use the thing from Honey I Shrunk the Kids? Or is it an Antman situation? Some secret third way of making a problem go away without solving it, or …?
