Indeed!
The new findings of Alina Ritter showcase that this approach may be especially feasible for metastatic disease since an impirtant viral docking site is highly expressed in metastatic lesions and even contributes to metastasis in #Ewing #sarcoma.

We will not stop until there is a cure!

We’re happy 😄 to share our latest work in Cancer Discov @theaacr.bsky.social – we discover that PTEN UPD 🧬 in endothelial cells causes vascular malformations in PTEN Hamartoma Tumor Syndrome (PHTS), create a new mouse model 🐀 & test PI3K signaling inhibitors 💊.

Somatic uniparental disomy of PTEN in endothelial cells causes vascular malformations in patients with PTEN Hamartoma Tumor Syndrome
Abstract. PTEN Hamartoma Tumor Syndrome (PHTS) is a rare tumor risk disorder caused by germline loss-of-function mutations in PTEN. Half of these patients develop vascular malformations, a hamartoma c...

Targeting replication stress in neuroblastoma by exploiting the synergistic potential of second generation RRM2 and CHK1 inhibitors
Tumor cells often cope with elevated levels of replication stress (RS) causing increased dependency on ATR-CHK1 signalling. We previously presented RRM2, the regulatory component of the ribonucleotide...
