I would say I broadly agree with the sentiment that what is commonplace, unremarkable, and well-accepted is poorly described as "queer", that queerness is defined by contested territory and conflict with broader norms, especially in the context of subjugation and persecution.

I think riot/protest chants that are rhythmic or rhyming are worse than arrythmic ones, because they're a lot easier to filter out mentally. Also, getting a whole crowd of people to shout something in unison that doesn't match a drum beat is a lot more impressive/intimidating.

Incest is legal in something like half the countries on the globe, so of course some people pose it as "horrifyingly, incest is *still legal* in all these countries" as if the shift has been toward decriminalizing incest and not the other way around.

Makes me really anxious to see people I like interacting with some of my posts because what if they decide to block me over stuff I've said and I lose the opportunity to observe them? I'm not going to compromise on my ethos for sake of agreeability, but sometimes I wish I weren't often disagreeable.

It would be nice if we lived in a society where it wasn't expected that everyone will always "grow out of" needing support and care. You turn 18 and the government no longer expects you to rely on anyone, and most people expect you to head out on your own and go to college or get a job.
