Follow for the most lukewarm takes. I don't like to waste too much energy talking about things I don't like. Have spent most of my life convincing myself that nobody cares what I think, so try to take it easy on me, will ya?
Today, I had to declare an “underlying health condition” in order to get my Covid shot. Fuck.

Metal Gear Sold Delta, it's... pretty good! Although I am not sure how much of the credit goes to the original masterpiece being very forward compatible, or the remake team who somehow managed to not screw up anything major.

I like to get my opinions from Reddit, I usually go there to see how everyone is feeling about a controversial topic and then just go with the opposite opinion.

Give most studios a little extra computing power, they put ray tracing in the game. Give Nintendo some of that power, and they just go and make the whole game environment destructible.

Zelda Notes might just be the best second screen experience I’ve had in a video game.

The Switch 2 is a little reminder that hey, maybe a couple of things *have* gotten better since 2017.

Hoping an expecting a whole slew of unlocked or 60 FPS patches for Switch 2 games. It seems pretty obvious to me that it is just laughing at games that made the original Switch cower in fear.

One thing I haven't heard mentioned about Switch 2 that I really appreciate is that the cartridge slot is WAY easier to open, which fixes one of the most annoying issues I had with the original. I used to keep a small, flat card by my original Switch just to pry open the cover.

The Nintendo Switch 2 dock charges PowerA wireless controllers (the original dock didn’t for some reason)

Battles in Chrono Cross Radial Dreamers edition have improved FPS on Switch 2 (world map still locked at 30 fps)

10 hours with the switch 2 and I still haven’t booted up mario kart world. Between the retro catalog and backwards compatibility, I am awestruck at the amount or content we are gonna have at our fingertips.

Trials of Mana is 60 fps on switch 2 (undocumented)

Very awkward this morning opening the door at 7AM and running into the Walmart delivery lady with my Switch 2 as a grown ass man in boxer shorts

FF9 remake was a feint, we're getting Xenosaga remastered instead.

Elden Ring Nightreign manifesting that "Ubisoft UI" mock-up that everyone was making fun of back in 2022. Looks fun though, and interesting contrast to the original game.

Shoutout to Sandfall for letting me order the collector's edition *after* I've played and enjoyed the game instead of guessing whether or not I'm gonna like the game enough to want to preorder.

So with game prices going the way they are, does that mean we’re gonna get Blockbuster back?

Afraid to follow or watch anything the Knicks do due to lingering 90s trauma.

Probably alone in this but I’m really looking forward to the Star Wars Outlaws DLC! Open world comfort food at its finest.

Games need to standardize either pressing J for journal or L for quest log.

Fully on the Expedition 33 bandwagon but not on the “dunking on other games,” bandwagon.
May 5, 2025 at 2:57 PM
Finally beat Expedition 33. First, this will be my favorite game of this year no question. Second, I don't think I want FF to return to turn-based. I'd like for new devs to try new (and old) things. FF is all about trying new things, and there is clearly still a market for the old things.

Do we even live in a world where GTA is relevant anymore? Like will anyone under 30 give a shit about this game?
May 2, 2025 at 5:06 PM
Soon there will be nobody left to report on video game media layoffs.

Turn-based this, JRPG that, western RPG this, CRPG that. The lines are getting pretty blurry nowadays.
