If I could wipe the memory of any game I've played to play it again for the first time, it would probably just be tied between Breath of the Wild or Outer Wilds. I find that most other games (especially story based) are actually enhanced on subsequent playthroughs.

Forget MGS4 for a second, this touchup of MGS1 is actually pretty dope. AFAIK it's the only high resolution version available on consoles now which is huge for parity with the other titles.

New theory on why everything sucks: art is supposed to draw on personal experience in order to resonate, maybe nowadays people are just experiencing less stuff (or at least positive stuff) and therefore fiction has more trouble connecting with personal experience.

Thought the hacking + shooting mechanic in Pragmata would be annoying but it's actually quite good? Like learning how to play a piano with both hands is the best way I can describe it.

Almost didn’t watch Stranger Things due to Pervading Cynicism, but I’m glad I did. It gave me closure that I didn’t expect and didn’t know I needed. Everything else can be shitty from here on out.

Holding fast to Metroid Prime 4 because it make me nostalgic not for metroidvanias, but for the bombastic story-driven FPS action games that nobody else seems to want to make anymore. I want to listen to Miles' radio chatter before all games become completely silent for fear of excess handholding.

Metal Gear Sold Delta, it's... pretty good! Although I am not sure how much of the credit goes to the original masterpiece being very forward compatible, or the remake team who somehow managed to not screw up anything major.

I like to get my opinions from Reddit, I usually go there to see how everyone is feeling about a controversial topic and then just go with the opposite opinion.

Give most studios a little extra computing power, they put ray tracing in the game. Give Nintendo some of that power, and they just go and make the whole game environment destructible.

Hoping an expecting a whole slew of unlocked or 60 FPS patches for Switch 2 games. It seems pretty obvious to me that it is just laughing at games that made the original Switch cower in fear.

One thing I haven't heard mentioned about Switch 2 that I really appreciate is that the cartridge slot is WAY easier to open, which fixes one of the most annoying issues I had with the original. I used to keep a small, flat card by my original Switch just to pry open the cover.

10 hours with the switch 2 and I still haven’t booted up mario kart world. Between the retro catalog and backwards compatibility, I am awestruck at the amount or content we are gonna have at our fingertips.
