Y’all are out here acting like passing a budget means anything in this day and age. Congress and SCOTUS handed power of the purse to the Trump regime months ago. POTUS will fund/defund whatever he wants without fear of accountability. The Republican majority won’t do a damn thing to stop him.

1/ I worked at DoD. I literally cannot imagine lawyers coming up with a legal basis for lethal strike of suspected Venezuelan drug boat.

1/ I worked at DoD. I literally cannot imagine lawyers coming up with a legal basis for lethal strike of suspected Venezuelan drug boat.

There is zero evidence of self-defense here. Looks like a massacre of civilians at sea.

I'm aware that the President likes to go on television and beg me to call him to ask for troops.
I find it strange, as Chicago doesn't want troops.
I also have experience asking him for assistance – just to have the rug pulled up from underneath me when execution meets reality.
