I have had to stop reading the devourer feedback thread because it’s stressing me out. To hear testers tell it the spec just “can’t quest” and “shouldn’t be used to level” and I just have to trust that it won’t be like that for long (if at all) after launch because I wanna level one from scratch!

Is it kinda overkill to say DOA? Because that sounds DOA. Unless this is being done expecting the PC market to like... die. Or become inaccessible.

It got to a point where I thought "if you think there's gonna be an 800k per character transmog expense why are you even playing if you don't trust them at all like that?" There comes a point where you have to trust in "beta is beta and they haven't lost their minds." This was one of those times.

I have really stepped back from a lot of the discourse except to research things that directly impact my friends (YESTERDAY I learned about the built in click cast settings and may now NOT lose my favorite healer) because it's just such a buzzkill. As soon as I saw "800k per character" I didn't even bother dusting off the torch or pitchfork because "either that doesn't hold or they've lost their mind." I trusted that they hadn't lost their mind, and am content. But yes, a clarification to the day to day transmog costs would be nice too.

I think it's a bit of "I have no control over my life in these terrible times but I can make a difference here as a loud Karen-sumer" thought, AND the impression that's been given over the years that WoW will cave to backlash, so folks feel they have a seat at the dev table. I agree it's exhausting.

If anyone sees the above post, please feel free to add more to the list in responses to this short thread. It's such a battle being "game-informed" *and* "into the story" as someone who woulld ike to be surprised. I've had to mute, block, or unfollow so many good folks in fighting this battle. 2/2

I literally found the click cast settings today and passed what was new info for us on to my healer friend who was ready to quit if healbot’s click casting got squeezed out in the midnight addonpocalypse. Change is scary but I’m glad that specific function got added to the game while we were away.
