Off shooting night and then we saw two consecutive immediate above the break threes. Just feel like it was a bad game for KAT and he was forcing things a bit.

Still had a chance to win this game and couldn’t execute. Great Deuce game though, which is a very good sign moving forward.

I got a chance to see him live twice in Detroit and both shows were excellent. His show was my last one before the pandemic lockdowns, making it that much more memorable.

He was taken from us too soon and was doing real work in his community. Playing Dolph for the rest of day. Rest in Power.

His music was the soundtrack for me getting through a lot of negative moments in my personal life, and I was always love him for that.

You’re absolutely right! I tried them based on the using them as an organizing tool idea but only to realize there are lingering downsides to that. Which I find very interesting!

They kind of have with their Japan games right? I feel like Europe for the NFL is what east Asia is for MLB

We’ve all heard about the cognitive decline aspect of using AI and I have been finding this to be true. I’m not here to completely mock its potential utility but for me as a writer, I’ve found that it causes more harm than good (before even considering the very real environmental impacts of course).

I have found that my work has gotten better, and my research more thorough, my points more nuanced and feeling like my true voice again.

But another thing I noticed was that the quality of my pieces weren’t as strong when using GenAI even as merely an idea board.

So for the last couple of pieces I’ve stopped using them as a sort of test of how my thought process works without using them.

I have also used it as a proofreading tool for shortening and revision suggestions. At first I trusted it blindly but after a while I started to find the suggestions repetitive and at times wildly incorrect (this was especially the case for what teams players play for).

For me, that was rooted in idea generation, outlining, title suggestions, and pulling quotes for Instagram carousels and other social media posting.

Like any tech interested writer, the idea of some of the GenAI promises intriguied me. So I as a result, I have tested tools from Copilot, Gemini, ChatGPT, and Notion AI.

First of all. Let me say this. People that generate blocks of text and copy paste it are not writers. They are promoters. Sadly, a lot of outlets have resorted to GenAI created articles and listicles. This is a sad development for me because it sets a precedent that the craft doesn’t matter.

I’ll give the MLB this, they’re always down to experiment with some shit over the last few years

I had no idea that this was a thing 😂

One thing that I feel that the NBA on NBC is doing really well is packaging the product in a way that makes a game in November feel impactful and have stakes. They’ve done such a great job in that regard.
