Oh I see, very interesting. Prickwood is a nice one, might use that. Cos it was sharp and hard, I guess. I'm still trying to find a place in the garden for one, but I donated some whips to the @healrewilding.org.uk garden instead.

Beautiful scene painted. I read something that said spindle was so named cos its wood was suitable for making spindles, or maybe spindles were called that because of the tree/shrub
