Noticed this sort of prism effect in the sky last night next to the harvest moon (reminding me of the Dark Side of the Moon album cover) Is it a thing? Asking astrophysicists but prob it's a clouds thing rather than a space thing @drda5id.bsky.social @steveardern.bsky.social @sydonahi.bsky.social

Had a lovely day with my dad at the Cheltenham cricket festival earlier this week. Was a bit in the news that the festival has been struggling 💷 for @gloscricket.bsky.social but rumour has it this year's been better. Hope so - a jewel in the calenda & heard many players like it more than Bristol

After eight days it's great to have Test crickeeeet back today... Hopefully the rain doesn't get in the way of play (nor dampen the needle!)

This beauty accompanied me on a walk through the marvelously named Bushy Norwood field and down the south east curve of the Bath Skyline, where I'd not been before

Was down on a family mission to near the coast, so after being visited by a butterfly, popped to see WWT Steart Marshes as it was near - beautiful place for a walk with lots of birds to see and hear - including avocet, oystercatcher, reed warbler, cettis etc - but didn't have binocs but still 👍

Quite good this - didn't look closely at the label and didn't realise it was a hefeweisse beer, whatever that is (half white?) but it's ok

Great walking by Hadrian's Wall but the sycamore gap is a bit gaping, though we still pretended to be Kevin Costner prince of thieves

Big question and possibly I'm forgetting someone - is tall Tommy Tuchel the first cap-wearing England manager?
