my friends, this is both the love commitment and the obligation, to help them as much as we can. To return that love and trust, and comfort as best we can. They are not our children, they are a part of us, and deserve our love, care, tears and grace. God bless all pets

And THAT my friends is the contract that we have with our dogs.
In this season, at this time, many of us are mourning the loss of family. We cannot give them the grace of a good death on their terms. But, with our dogs, we can, and yes it is hard. Hold their paws, and love them

whatever the moment is. Your dog cannot tell you in words how they feel or what they need, but you know because you are bonded. It is NEVER just a dog. And when they are injured, or ill, you return the obligations of the bond by crawling through glass if need be to help them.
