Sometimes my work feels detached from the realities of trans life & I struggle to see how it will have impact beyond the walls of the academy. Then a senior scholar emails me to tell me my article on Eleanor Rykener was cited in a Supreme Court amicus brief in support of trans youth.

Making my debut over here, I am a PhD candidate at Deakin University in Australia, my work broadly looks at how trans people understand trans identity and their experiences in trans communities. Research interests in trans studies, sociology, queer studies.
