tl;dr: GenAI and game design concepts traditionally referred to as "AI" (enemy behaviors, pathfinding, etc.) are not the same thing, and I'm on my knees begging people to learn the difference, lest we see more bullshit claims like what The Escapist put out re: Blue Prince.

Zero tolerance is the ONLY and FITTING response to genAI being used in production of media.
Sure, you might think it's too harsh. Sure, they might've only used it for early stuff in development, etc

Welp, time to delete Fortnite. I've been playing it pretty regularly since they added Naruto, and I get they want to print money, but I can't enjoy a game that licensed H*rry P*tter. Being able to use the bathroom in peace is more important to me than a video game.

This is removing a major avenue to get work if they can just generate nameless derivations of our ideas.

Like man, my career only exists in the way that it does now because a production designer was googling "realistic pokemon" and found me. If he could have just had a machine spit that out, I never would have gotten a job. This is a major issue hitting artist discoverability.
