Just watched an update on some of the Epstein files and some royal was mentioned that did mall tours in the u.s. in the late 90s, early 2000s. I'll never forget (because at the time I was mad at my parents for stopping me from becoming famous obviously haha)

As a society here in the u.s. we really need to address our serious lack of empathy problem. It's part of most of the major issues we have.

I think ancestry, and national identity, and all the things like that are so difficult to figure out. I have one friend, who's ancestry is solely from u.k.: Irish, with a little bit of English and Scottish, but back at least a couple gens, does he say he's Irish or u.s. or both?

I honestly don't understand any reason that people being subjugated, despite their differences, couldn't come together for safety and camaraderie. But there's still so many fissures in different communities. If there's another group you wouldn't accept that an oppressor wouldnt hesitate to hurt, why

Just read a local woman's 'feel good' story about offering some money to someone who survives off the street and the story ended with a lesson about giving just in case someone needs it, even if they use it for something you wouldn't have intended, you're doing right. Which is all a nice thought

I do wonder why people keep referencing civil war concerns when taking about current events. Maybe I'm just not educated enough on it but seeing as it's mostly focused on citizens vs govt, isn't that revolutionary? Obv. there's maga that would try to join, but that doesn't seem to be the main focus?

I hope people are ready to lock in for serious with the current issues and where they're going, and where they've come from. I hope they understand, yes, ice is the most obvious antagonist (along with trump and coop.) but it goes so much deeper and older than that, and this will repeat until

I hope Kanye continues to receive the help/healing he needs, but I'm also glad he understands that his actions can't be undone. I hope he does work to help the communities he's harmed.

Was thinking about horror films tonight, as I still need to see some good ones like Sinners. I really liked the purge for how impactfully the series explored our current issues. I realized a deeper level of that is a greater reflection of our current society in the way people reacted to the movie.

Whenever I see one of those 'gotcha' posts about someone who voted for the fascist coming to reap the penalties of him being in office, like I get it, but idk it just makes me sad. I don't get a thrill seeing the fascist regime coming for anyone, not like they would seeing it come for others.

Honestly, I'm not a brave person. I'm not courageous, there was a time where I might have been but my parents made sure to beat that out of me. I've spent a lot of life hiding or running from problems, and it hasn't been great, but it's worked.

Something about death that you just don't become accustomed to. I've seen people murdered for years online, watching genocide abroad, murders at home, I'm still affected by them.

There's a really interesting dynamic here where the narratives white supremacy plays are at odds with one another. News posts especially about white murders usually talk about how good of a person they were, while in the recent case also comes off as not in favor of the violent supremacist army.

I see a lot of posts about men deciding to pretend to be gay to make women feel better in a situation where they could be considered threatening. I understand the point, and that they're not the problem, but something about using that as a solution doesn't feel like that right choice?

There is a special kind of frustration had, and patience needed, when filling out forms online. Idky but they're usually glitchy as hell and when you finally think you're done, bam, for some reason all your inputs are deleted and you have to start allllll over. Infuriating.

The Internet has created this weird snapback culture, where everyone always thinks they're in the right and someone will always defend them, regardless how ridiculous it is. The amount of stupid posts I see some days, people think they're poppin off but really just looking foolish.

Tuned in to the ball drop in New York. Was surprisingly hit with a wave of grief as the new year was rung in. I didn't see the whole lead up but 'Imagine' being the last song covered felt iconic.
