I felt this got the point across very well also.

Send criminals to jail *should* be a unifying principal, at least in democratic nations.

Someone has cheekily already updated the Wikipedia page for the 'Next Australian federal election' to reflect the updated relationship status of the Liberals and Nationals. Lol.

We cross now live to Brisbane where Peter Dutton is delivering his concession speech.

Context for this is Sharri Markson offering an endorsement of Dutton and the Coalition to win the election, which she assures us isn't because she's biased.

How can we know she isn't biased? Oh, well, she told us she isn't. Case closed.

If Dutton loses the election as is widely predicted on Saturday, then this will basically be the Coalition's election review before they inevitably elect another far-right knucklehead and keep doubling down.

Per @amyremeikis.bsky.social, apparently Kevin Hogan and Ted O'Brien are doing the rounds looking at support for a post-election leadership spill.

This was after its been heavily rumoured that both Angus Taylor and Sussan Ley were also circling Dutton for the Liberal leadership.

Thanks, Ben Fordham, because appeasing Nazis and giving them exactly what they want has worked so well in the past.

Hey wait a minute...

Excellent paraphrasing @amyremeikis.bsky.social!

I studied international relations at uni and I was aghast many times in the debate last night, but I was just baffled that Mark Riley thought diplomacy should be conducted by the 'Kim Possible' method (call me, beep me, if ya wanna reach me)

Shared on r/Sydney, someone has been putting up these signs with the message 'Put Labor Last' in Lane Cove.

I also saw one in Parramatta outside of Commbank Stadium ("Put Labor Last - Make Australia Happy - 🙂), and another seen on James Ruse Dr. near Rosehill, all without authorisation.

Peter Dutton remarked he was writing his grocery list during the ad break (references to milk and bread were made).

If he's struggling to show his softer side this electorate, may I recommend he also pick up some of this.
