For those who might feel threatened by masked people who don't identify themselves, nor state why a stop is warranted, this might help: www.newsweek.com/map-shows-wh...

What is a good source for tracking special elections across the US? Is there an election thread somewhere?

I don't either, and it's wonderful. I highly doubt anyone reaches the end of their life and says, "I wish I'd been on FB or Twitter more."

I made French Onion Soup for the family from scratch, as we had snow fall Sunday and linger in to today...I ate most of it myself.

Ask politicians who promote or support a bill, "Whom does this help the most?".

In a Parliamentary system every single Cabinet member is elected and accountable to a specific riding. No more friends of a party leader (unless they are also elected), or position because they donated to a campaign or person.

How about candidates all run as Independent, and stand on issues. They don't have to be binary on all a specific party's issues/stances.

This shows that even when you purchase something, you still don't own it outright.

I happily inform anyone who asks about my solar setup. Share your generation experiences, as well as the ease of installation and service, not to mention energy bills. Top it off with a discussion on rising electricity prices and how solar gets sold back to the grid, or saves you money.

If you can't buy a solar setup, see if a lease is cheaper than your (average) electricity bill.

There are lots of good people out there, many also in government who can do good things for each other. Support good people, stay positive, and work for something to help as many as possible.

Has anyone looked in to having AI run the government?

I would like to point out that Elon's brother and close friends are on the board, and support him wholeheartedly. Also, large funds, such as Norway's Government Pension Fund are beginning to openly move away from supporting Musk. How can Tesla possibly sell 10x what they've done at their peak?

Why do some politicians get elected by listening to their voters, then, as soon as they are in office, govern by thinking "I alone know what's best for my constituents"? Could we mandate regular public meetings for politicians, and no money from corporations or bundled donations?
November 7, 2025 at 4:08 PM
Government should be working for its people.

How about having ideas that will appeal to the majority of people?

According to Wikipedia this was found in Fukang, China, in the year 2000. No mention of when it was estimated to have landed on Earth, or from which direction it may have come.
