Let’s talk overwhelm. When big problems crop up, it can be paralyzing. Your nervous system is sizing it all up - the enormity, complexity, danger. The reaction is to pause, then heighten your attention and anxiety. Why? Because it’s in our nature (i.e. tied to survival in our evolutionary past).

Feeling inundated? You’re in good company. It’s tempting to post outrage, fear, and frustration. But I’m not finding that helpful, either from myself or others. So maybe I’ll try some CBT posting and see how it goes.
