Now this is a proper car! Makes my #Lagonda look like a toy, which it is! This 1930 2 litre Lagonda has been regularly raced by the lovely owner who was interviewed as part of the rebranded Mach 2 Motor show at Aerospace Bristol.

Took my Lagonda out for Drive it day and saw some other nice wheels on the road, not as many as I’d hoped though.

The rudder ties it together nicely. Bristol Bolingbroke restoration at Aerospace Bristol. Hopefully it’ll be almost completely assembled and rolled out for the VE celebrations!

The Bristol Bolingbroke restoration at Aerospace Bristol is coming on nicely. Tail on, cockpits almost glazed it’s getting close to being whole again. Can’t wait to see the new props arrive!

He had now contracted full “Lagondaitis” as he called it & filled the spot with a lovely 3l which even my mother loved. But he wasn’t done and many years later swapped out the 3l for a Bentley designed V12. His pride and joy! So when he died my brother & I each took on a Rapier and the V12 was sold.

Much to my mother’s dismay he acquired one Rapier and then another, building a double garage to accommodate the second and placate my mum by still offering her the use of the third space. But we think he already had an ulterior motive for that large new garage.
