It has been suggested that the Bristol Aeroplane Company didn’t make interesting planes, which I find sacrilegious.

It started with the Boxkite Britain’s first mass produced aircraft, used to train the majority of British WW2 pilots and prove aircraft’s worth in war.

Now this is a proper car! Makes my #Lagonda look like a toy, which it is! This 1930 2 litre Lagonda has been regularly raced by the lovely owner who was interviewed as part of the rebranded Mach 2 Motor show at Aerospace Bristol.

Another day of #classiccars and #Aerospace tomorrow! ❤️

People have told stories, sagas, oral history and poems to each other since time immemorial and long before the invention of writing.

Audiobooks sit in a long tradition and the only lazy bit is Amol Rajan's boring take.
Amol Rajan doesn’t like audiobooks. They’re “lazy”.

It’s hard not to be cross, sometimes.

I don’t like Rajan’s opinion.

The Westland Whirlwind and Gloster F.9/37 were the only aircraft powered by the Rolls-Royce Peregrine. Two prototypes of the F.9/37 were built, the 22nd February 1940 saw the Peregrine engined version fly, the other was powered by the Bristol Taurus.
