I agree with this, although I really enjoyed the dungeon crawl weirdness of Fighting Fantasy.

I'm half-way through that, The Chasm of Doom. It's brutal!

I replayed this a couple of months back (I'm slowly working through the LW gamebooks) and it's a cracking adventure with a great sense of exploring the icy wasteland and what lies beneath. Holds up very well 40 years later.

The great Turkey crisis of 2025, how will the country survive? Does sound like a good fit for a Reform manifesto though, far more important than education, NHS, social care, housing etc...

It's a fantastic book, Wet Ink Games have produced some of the best OSR content of recent years. I'll stick with the first printing though.

You have 15 seconds to comply...

I'm sure they meant it as a compliment 😉

Now there's an idea

This is just plain stupid. AI isn't good enough to replace 70% of a QA function and it's unlikely to be by 2027.

I guess their developers will be next in line...

That's an excellent idea!

Finished reading this earlier today. There is such a sense of hopelessness in this one, it makes Into the Cess and Citadel and Ave Nox feel like a pleasant stroll on a bright summers day. Utterly brilliant, would love to get it to the table at some point.

Looks fun and I love a good Foundry setup

Great job. Happy 18th birthday to her!

With no way to judge if someone's words, thoughts, ideas or output are their own or from ChatGPT, it's pointless asking them to justify or explain anything unless you can get them face to face to ask...

I'll join you shouting at the computer, and maybe scream into the void for good measure.

Vast in the Dark could be a good option - although I've only skimmed it, but it's by Charles Ferguson-Avery so it's bound to be good . This looks like a decent collection as well itch.io/c/5713799/de...

The real story here is the paint job on that hobgoblin...

This may be a cautionary tale about mixing hobbies with business, or going into business with your ex and their new partner or some such. Like you say, D&D is largely irrelevant, it could be any business.

Happy birthday Scott! 🥳

The first of many mysteries and horrors ahead no doubt! Great stuff.

Combine the power of quantum computing with the dumbness of AI and we're truly screwed.

You do get a lot more in the box though, cardboard minis, maps and the Secrets of the Dragon Emperor campaign which is huge value, I've been running for months and we're close to half way through.

That hardback book looks nice as well.
