Rather than asking her government to end their asinine actions that led to the booze ban (tariffs, 51st state, etc), she's asking Nutlick to force CANADA to relent. Despite all the bullshit of the past year, she still thinks this is Canada's fault, not Trump's. It's totally a cult.

I did it! The very last orange spine I needed to rebuild the collection that disappeared from my dorm room in 1988 is now winging its way to me. Feel free to bask in the glow of my boundless happiness.

Before there was the Dragon, or Dungeon, there was The Strategic Review, TSR's first newsletter. Seven issues were published from Spring '75 to April '76, and the 'zine wrapped with the publication of Dragon 1 in June 1976. The rest is history!

Opening Day 2025! Next to Christmas, this is just about the best day of the year.

I remember watching the Blue Jays' first Opening Day on TV on April 7, 1977. Got to see a bunch of games as a kid in old Exhibition Stadium before they tore it down.

SnarfQuest was a fantasy comic strip illustrated by the legendary Larry Elmore, first appearing in Dragon 75 (July '83) and running until issue 145 (May '89). Its popularity resulted in the publication of SnarfQuest: The Book in 1987.

Here's a concept I like for AD&D gameplay - non-proficiency shouldn't just affect "to hit" rolls, but logically also reduce damage inflicted by a successful strike.

From Dragon 66 (Oct 1982), John Sapienza offers this table on damage modifiers for weapons used by those non-proficient.

I've been pretty happy with Brad Treliving as Leafs GM, but the trade deadline has historically been a day that highlights his weakness of standing pat over making a bold move. Leafs are close, but need a boost; while other clubs commit to big additions, Tree sticks with tinkering. Hope I'm wrong.

Steady improvement on the 5k time, hoping to get down to sub-25 mins in time for my first ever 5k race this summer. Need to leave extra time for recovery when your're in your mid-50s - getting there, though!

Certain things generate a wave of warm nostalgia for me - one of those things is catching a glimpse of a Thieves' World spine at the used bookstore. Twelve volumes were published between 1979 and 1989.
