The Fiat Panda isn’t just a car,it’s the definition of the Italian Peoples Car. From city streets to mountain roads, it’s been moving Italy for generations with simplicity, reliability, and charm. It is an everyday part of Italian life as pasta

It's been a while since we posted, but our friend Les is selling his Chrysler Airflow, so it seemed a good time to bring this old piece back to life. Also, Airflows are just cool.
Chrysler Airflow: Yesterday's Car Of Tomorrow - Old Motors
The Chrysler (and DeSoto) Airflow were streamlined, unibody cars of the future in 1934, but they were too far ahead of the audience.

While it was the least popular of GM's early 1979-85 E-bodies, it just so happens that this was the *most* popular #OldsmobileToronado of them all. And a pretty good deal back in the day! Read on for more about the E-body New Jersey Mafia.
1979-85 Oldsmobile Toronado: Downsized But Livin' Large - Old Motors
The E-body 1979-85 Oldsmobile Toronado isn't the best remembered Toro, but it was one of GM's best early eighties offerings.

Scanning archival things today to distract myself. Here's a 1987 Oldsmobile Firenza coupe at Mitchell Oldsmobile on Jericho Turnpike way back when it was new. The building still houses a dealership today, Huntington Mazda.

I couldn't make it to Carlisle this year, but here's a great Trabant story from 2023:
1963 Trabant 600: An Early Trabbi Becomes A Car Show Hero
The Trabant 600 was the last early series Trabbi and still competitive with Western cars when new, but it was built for only two years.

A look back at one of the coolest little SUVs nobody bought, and why Daihatsu had such a hard time trying to break through in America.
Daihatsu Rocky: Climbing A Stacked Deck - Old Motors
Cool and capable, the Daihatsu Rocky was the a Suzuki Samurai rival meant to help reverse the brand's flagging U.S. fortunes. It didn't work.

It’s too late for a Friday Fiat, but how about a Sunday SEAT? Por qué no los dos?
SEAT 600: Putting Spain On Wheels - Old Motors
After civil war and a painfully slow economic recovery, the SEAT 600 helped put Spain on wheels in the 1950s and 1960s.

I'm sad I won't be at the #KilbroneyVintageShow again this year. I was really tempted to go for a third trip to NI in three years (not just for this, although ... ), but I have to be in California two days later. Among other things.

Sick of doomscrolling? I've got the Rx for that. The Turbo RX, that is:

You want weird? I got #weirdcarbs gold. This is a TVR Jomar Gran Turismo coupe, or what's left of one. A JV between Trevor Wilkinson and American Olds dealer Ray Seidel, who sold the cars out of Manchester, New Hampshire. The Jomar established the fastback shape that characterized the 60s-70s TVRs.

Looking back at some Subarus today, including this Peter "Possom" Bourne tribute car. It's a 1983 Subaru GLF two-door hardtop similar to the ones Bourne used on the 1983 and 1984 Rally of New Zealand events.

This Suzuki Carry, pictured in the mid-1970s when it was still new, is a food truck - in the bed, a wood-fired roaster serves of piping hot Yaki Imo.

Factoid: The Triumph 2000/2500 Mk2 Estates retained the Mk1's rear end which uniquely meant it ended up being actually shorter than the Mk2 saloon.

Now, there's a factoid…

The Mk2 may be the least discussed #HondaAccord, but it was an important car for the automaker. In part because of where it was made.
Honda Accord Mk2: Marysville Made - Old Motors
