Just because a case gets ignored, dismissed or a jury find an accused abuser, not guilty, does not always mean they were in fact not guilty. A failure by the courts will never negate the truths of what happened.

When we experience stress or threat to our survival, our brains automatically activate a safety plan. That plan is carried out by way of stress/trauma responses. Even if it may not feel like it, they’re designed to protect you. We don't choose how we respond.There’s no shame in however you responded

You see, the thing about the complacent is that when u are complacent or “neutral” in a situation such as mine, u are taking the side of the perpetrator. You wouldn’t like it if someone took the side of the perpetrator in a situation involving u or ur family. The complacent hurt me & ALL survivors.

To be fair she does look like a chicken.

I don’t want to accept what I cannot change. I want to start fires with my mind.
