My preferred way to play Pokemon X/Y is to turn the game off and do something else, but I think the Frog is the way to go if you must

For the record I would never be caught dead cutting Exclude and Repeal from MY peasant cube. I don't claim those two changes.

Not a product for me but chuffed as all hell to see something exciting from Sennie again. That said I can't get over all the reviewers talking about how "When Sennheiser gives a product the 600 name you know it's good", while having to pretending the HD620 didn't happen

I have a real soft spot for French Power Metal band Heavenly's cover of When the Rain Behind to Fall. Simultaneously a fairly faithful cover but also uniquely captures their energy as a band and maintaining the power metal bend

It's a beautiful car and looks quite impressive re: performance but I just can't get behind any car without a rear window. Dumb and compromising on safety, camera or no.

wow this is fucking insane

Was totally unaware of restricted mode as a "feature", thought that the whole point of youtube kids was to serve this function. Wonder how much this specific issue is a factor in the view drop.
September 6, 2025 at 11:56 PM
Vinny Vinesauce was posting about it on Twitter today as well. Seems that the last six months of uploads to his channel straight up do not appear if you have something on called "restricted mode", but the videos all before that point are fine.

Incidentally original MTG stories/settings weren't like this until around the time that MTG started messing around with IP licensing slop. Not going to sit here and pretend that it was high art before that point, but it was a lot better.

Definitely something that can be fixed very easily, it's not a one-or-the-other sort of scenario, just that currently something like 97% of all vertical structures are destructible which disincentivizes their use in gameplay
September 4, 2025 at 3:01 AM
Agreed with all of your observations. Would also offer that imo the emphasis on destructible environments - while super cool - results in a lot of very flat level design which cuts into the potential design space for interesting FPS gameplay. Thinking of Immortal Redneck and Roboquest comparatively

This is the staff break room they take you to when you start suggesting that maybe employee appreciation should be more than Papa John's pizza

They actually made a joke card like this a few years back lol

I've been meaning to watch the Lance Hendrick video on this and try it out but it's so insane to me that I'm not ready to wrap head around it.
August 30, 2025 at 5:04 AM
Yeah Aftermath, and by proxy Assassin's Creed are legitimate contenders imo. The rest is lukewarm at best
