I agree with your analysis but not with your conclusion. Dems suck in many ways, but the worst Dem is still better than the best Republican (at least these days). When there’s a fascist on the ballot, I’m gonna vote for the other party, no matter how much I have to throw up in my mouth

There's centrists on one side and leftists on the other and both claim only they can win elections. I call bs on both.
We can only win elections together, and unfortunately that means nobody gets exactly what they want.

You do not have to convince me. I am way to the left of Bernie on most issues and will go as far left as possible in the primary. But in the general, I'll vote blue no matter who, even fucking Newsom if I have to. Anything is better than this shit.

I'll go as left or as right as I have to, but the rest of the electorate won't. Sure, we can run an edgelord leftist to win 5% new voters, but we'd lose 30% existing ones. Run progressives in the cities and centrists in the suburbs, and get them to work with each other. That is the way to victory

My objections against Bernie are not that he is too far left, quite the contrary. But a guy who sees identity politics as a distraction is just not the right person to clean up the mess of 400+ years of racism and sexism
