Sounds more like your machine is out of tune or needs oil. My machine gets crunchy and will break needles if it gets a bit dry.

The last time I cooked a whole turkey was 1995 (I think?). About a week prior the ex and I realized it wasn't going to fit in the oven of our rented house in Poway. We talked with the neighbors (big family) and said we'd provide the bird for the use of their oven.
The bird dressed out to 38 pounds!

Normally, the flag goes up FAST during morning colors (0800 local). I don't know why they're going slow here. 🤔
If the flag is to be flown half mast, it is still hoisted to the top, then lowered slowly to half after the 'As you were' bugle.

Gawd I hate DSL! The VA always sends my meds through them and it's a 50/50 shot if they'll even show up.

So many owners in my neighborhood don't even *walk* their dogs! They don't do anything with them! I see yards with paths worn into the ground where the dogs run back and forth along a fence barking at anything that comes by. A loud, living lawn ornament.

You can't 'prepare' for that. It tears *me* up every time, and I've been through it so many times...
