Tech writer/editor. Formerly the opera & classical music writer at "Colo. Music Buzz" magazine. Cleveland native, former St. Paul resident, moved to Denver during the blizzard of '82. Jemima in the photo (means "dove" in Hebrew -- the bird, not the verb).
Nah -- she just has no idea who George III is.

Don't forget the newest meme: 35-year-old incels playing video games in their mom's basement, apparently eating frozen dinners and soaking up those sweet, sweet Medicaid bucks.

What? The Labour Party wasn't sufficiently antisemitic, thereby prompting Corbyn to found a new outlet?

Are they "novel" (i.e., "new" and/or "original") edits, or "edits to a novel"? Those are different things, you know,

Wow -- that's my company's office building in the background! I'm working downtown tomorrow and Wednesday, so I guess I'll have to dodge these weirdos as I'm leaving and returning to the light rail station at 18th & Stout.

Might be weird, but I read that title in my head in Operaman'svoice.

"Soldiers' Chorus" from "Faust" by Charles Gounod -- mostly because today is the anniversary of my debut as Mefistopheles in my university's production of that opera. youtu.be/EUb5-RmIFRs?...

Apparently Christia Freeland's appearance on Bill Maher's "Real Time" show wasn't quite the vote boost she was hoping to achieve, since she finished second in the race at EIGHT PERCENT!

Well, I did have a bad pierogi once. Does that count?

I haven't seen a definition of the abbreviation "FFOTUS" anywhere, but I'm going to assume it stands for "FuckFace Of The United States" unless otherwise informed.

Caught some "Backbone Radio" on the AM dial this past weekend. Host Matt Dunn is so far up Trump's colon he's already "lapped" Lindsey Graham. He's the kind of guy who'd call the Orange Menace a genius for scooping up & eating his own vomit. "Look, the Prez didn't want to inconvenience the janitor."

When we adopted Jemima, the desk person told us we'd arrived on a "fee reduced from $50 to $10 week." We said, "That's nice, but we'll pay the full amount. If you want, you can apply the $40 to four adopters who might not even afford the ten bucks." Best money we ever spent!

You must read "Time and Again" (1970) by Jack Finney.

I wonder if that means they're finally preparing to take action on those three calls I made regarding Melania's status as an illegal immigrant?

Same here. Since my wife and I like to travel, we try to build up as many credit card points as possible. We just paid our $3,600 2025 real estate tax bill via CC and will pay it off in full on Feb 1. Same with whatever we end up owing the IRS in April.

My local branch library (four blocks from home) closed Monday for 18 months for a major remodel. The staff has been reassigned to other branches throughout Denver. Our neighborhood HOA gave them a "donuts and hot chocolate" party on Saturday as a sendoff. We're already counting the day until reopen.

I'm pretty sure Melania is a DEI hire -- just reported her. We'll see where this goes.

If he's misspelling the name, too bad he didn't pardon this guy instead:

I also like to check out wall art. I remember a Zoom call for some MSNBC guest a while back and had to freeze the playback. "Ooh, that's an Agam lithograph!"

...and somewhere out West, Kevin Sorbo sobs, "Why not me, too?"

They should just write: "We're giving up news reporting for storytelling. Get used to it."

Also, the statue was shipped to the U.S. in sections and assembled in New York City.

In the time-travel film "Kate and Leopold," Hugh Jackman tells Meg Ryan he'd attended a performance of the Puccini opera "La Bohéme" a few years before it was actually written.
