Shocking that there were 9100 people incarcerated in GA in 1974. The carceral state was unharmed by Carter's speech.

There used to be so many dead babies that Sears and Roebuck sold gravestones for infants.

I think it has to do with this. The FDA found the testing lab's methods to have some deficiencies, so of course conspiracy theorists saw that the FDA was in the pocket of Big Sunscreen www.statnews.com/pharmalot/20...

This proves the point: the "cent-" prefix means 100; eg centenarian, centigrade. A century is 100 years, for cyclists: 100 miles, for Romans: 100 legionnaires.
The "deci-" prefix informs the reader of a tenths magnitude: eg decile, decimal, decibel.
"Decimate" implies a 1:10 ratio.
The word "Century" is defined as a subdivision of the Roman legion.
