I will probably setup a proper Matrix server in the future, but I need a beefier server for that.

Seems eh, like the many clients are cool but finding an account provider (unless one selfhosts) seems like a pita. I tried to make a throwaway account a bit ago and it was nigh impossible. So I’ll check it out when I can try to self host it.

At this point in time there is no real good alternatives apart from zulip/sharkord/stoat imo.

Stoat - Not horrid but also not feature complete (I tried it back in 2021 no changes...)

Teamspeak - Wierd ass platform, it works but it sucks. Probably feature complete but still gross.

Matrix - Its actually kinda ass and confusing. Why do channels have pfps... It's feature complete tho ig.

Oh nah, I’m just saying that generally writing a 3d software renderer will fundamentally improve skill if you haven’t before, I wrote one a long long while ago.
