Additional thought... I think a lot of people in the US aren't used to being so absolutely lied to as they realize they have been. Not that it doesn't happen, but the scale and we'll, laziness of the lies is something entirely new to many.

As understandable as those issues are it's also pretty clear that these same people are deliberately ignoring how this looks in the whole... Cause if they did they would have to see it for what it is. A deliberate destruction of functional agencies to empower private businesses.

Based on some anecdotal stories from people who work in the government. It sometimes feels like they justify/talk around these purges by focusing on their own specific experiences in dealing with inefficiencies and poor performance.
