Very impressed #MegaVR. I bought a #DuckHunter #SimStock in 2023. Alas some of the brackets snapped a week ago. Contacted #MegaVR to ask if I can buy replacement parts.

They sent me a (beefed up) replacement set (along with some a separate upgrade they have added to the #SimStock) for free.

I'm doing todays #AoC on a #Book386 in VB6.

There is a bug in my code somewhere. I'm not sure where.
I'm pretty sure my logic is sound, but wanted to check it without waiting for VB6 to chug on a 386 CPU.

It was quicker to rewrite in #Kotlin and quickly double check than debug the VB6.

Kent County Council Budget Overspend at Half-Time: Reform UK Era Faces Adult Social Care Crisis
Half-way through the 2025–26 financial year, the scoreboard at County Hall does not make pretty reading. Against a net revenue budget of £1.53 billion, Kent County Council is forecasting a £46.5 mi…

If you come across a service in production that has been in a crash loop for 3 months and no one has complained, should you decommission it out of principle.

I miss oldFacebook. Having a slice of life from distant family and lost friends. Modern #Facebook is fucking pointless, I honestly don't understand why people are going on it. Obviously to get the Two Minutes of Hate, but is that really a successful business model?
Why did our friends stop posting on social media?
BBC Special Correspondent Katty Kay and writer Kyle Chayka discuss the ways that social media is changing – and what that means for how we live our lives online.

#LinkedIn now has a set of mini games. Like #Facebook back in the early 2000s...

What I've learnt from the 28 Days films - when you start a post apocalypse society remember - kids are fucking stupid.

Why is turning the page in a #Remarkable #ProMove such a fucking faff. According to the docs it is a simple finger swipe left or right. But in my experience it only works ~50% of the time.

I'm not a fan of Dr Seuss's kids books, but his political cartoons hit the mark even now.

I'm playing with creating some YT content. Going to try and create a mix of Code A Longs (targeting the #PicoCalc), like the magazine listings of yesteryear and quick start guides for programming on funky hardware.

My 3rd video, writing Hello World on a #m5stack #CardPuter.

I really should get rid of two of the three dates, but I'm not sure how. :(

I'm on my first proper long EV only journey - London to Durham and back. The charging infrastructure has been pretty good. Big fan of how Grid Serve label their chargers.
Shell ReCharge can go fuck itself. Get to the charger and I need to order a physical card from shell before I can use it!

What percentage of flags will look like this in 6 months?

I'm genuinely not that fussed about the flag flying, but I'm 80% sure most of the flags in 6 months time will not have been renewed as they slowly decay. Maybe I'll be happily surprised, but I doubt it.

Tried to take a photo of the moon this morning on my phone. It told me to move back a bit to help with focusing.

Dear video game developers. I want to play a game, not press next 50 times while a story is being next slowly told with little tweedly doop sounds as the words slowly appear on my screen. #playdate games feel partially prone to this.

First #virtual game of the month and I get a 100 straight. Given I've been in a bit of a rut for the last few months, it feels great to be back in the zone.

The last set was so blooming hard to keep my head in the game, just constantly thinking "gonna fuck up this lovely monthly average".

My least favourite thing about the GPD WIN mini is after using a eGPU is it'll then refuse to turn on properly until you do the on/off dance enough times.

Shame I missed it, cos I really like this concept. That iteration is way too bulky and I suspect the form factor is dead, replaced with glasses.

I need to write an E2E test suite, so I scribbled together an overview of the problem and threw it into #Gemini, #InteliJ's AI and #ChatGPT. I mentioned I'm a #Java/#Kotlin dev but open to languages.
All three mentioned #python, but ChatGPT and #IntelliJ suggested Kotlin (because of my knowledge)

The inconsistencies with the #Alien in #AlienEarth are really annoying.

Key character, hard to kill.
Background character, 10 sliced to pieces while the camera pans round.
