ahh yes, a lot of snowfall over a few days, temps hoovering around 0 C, and to the surprise of no one, power went out this afternoon. Parked the soldering iron, fired up the stove, jumped into running gear and enjoyed a snowy run through a pitch dark backroad.

Not a rare sight around these parts, but not often they manage to get inside the fence at the kindergarten/school I work at. After a bit of coaxing, two colleagues got them through the gates and reunited with their mother.

Week 3 of the heatwave, +30C is rare up here on a good day, so this is something..
There have been many a pitstop, diving into a rivers/lakes, on the longer runs/bike rides as of late which has been lovely, so there is that I guess?! Cooler temps, ~20C, and the usual summer rain come Friday.. maybe

Ran 21K yesterday, so had to shake loose a bit today and decided to do the same round on the bicycle. First ride of the season so knew it would be a bit rough, but oh my deity did the legs curse hard during the first few K's. Then, that glorious feeling after ~4K where they cave & kick in hard.

Took me half a year to mourn the passing of my 14 year old snuggle buddy, but this evening these two heartbreakers will move in. Really looking forward to the chaos that surely will ensue.

Started spring cleaning early this year, now the livingroom & kitchen doesn't look like the lab of a madman anymore. 17 unfinished projects sorted into transparent plastic boxes and moved upstairs. Scrubbing floors in a 100 year old house though.. sore knees and back. Good workout!

By far my favourite back road to run on. Lots of twists and turns and if you do "the loop" of 10K, you get the added bonus of over 160m elevation change. That burns the legs on your way up, but boy do you fly on your way back home. -18C earlier this week, -3C today, almost shorts weather!

Picked up this beauty last week, one owner, low usage and local pickup. Rare to see them pop up in my neck of the woods and I've been reluctant to have one shipped. Very happy to finally add one to my collection! New battery and SSD is sorted, waiting for ram to arrive so I can do a fresh install.
